The City of Ripley ’s sanitation department consists of 5 employees running 2 separate routes each day, providing both residential and commercial garbage services.Garbage services typically run each weekday including holidays with the exception of Christmas Day.If there is a change in schedule due to a holiday or other circumstances, notice will try to be given in advance.A typical change in schedule would result in your garbage being picked up a day later than normal.The following is a list of the general areas and the routes that are followed.Please contact the business office if you are unsure of your scheduled day for pickup.
Trash Routes Monday: West Ripley, Straight Street, and Klondyke areas. Tuesday: North Ripley, Ravenswood Pike, and Newtown areas. Wednesday: Highlawn Heights, Simmons Drive and Lee Street areas, Tanglewood Village, and Sycamore Creek Road. Thursday: First, Second, and Third Avenues and Cedar Crest Areas Friday: Greenbrier Hill, Valley Drive, and Cedar Lakes Drive

Recycling All recycling is to be taken to the Solid Waste Authority Located along Rt. 62 in Cottageville.
